Yeah I do like it. I’ve made this change because the Pre will be released on June 6th and if I’m not here to cover it, you’ll have the news in the sidebar. That’s it really
You must believe me when I say that I’m deeply in love with Apple and especially the iPhone. Really. But, I can ensure you that if the new iPhone (probable presentation in June/July 2009) isn’t better than the Palm Pre, I’ll buy a Pre. Because now, the Pre is better than the iPhone 3G. Watch this, people, this is pure high-tech.
I’m kinda always wondering, why is it impossible to build something better than Google ? Sure, it’s been only ten years that Google exists but in the tech world, ten years equals to twenty years or something like this. Yet, Google had lots of rivals. I believe Yahoo! is the most historic one but recently, Google’s got to face two new and powerful contestants. Bing (Kumo) & WolframAlpha.
Bing
Bing is the name of Microsoft’s new Live Search. Apparently, it’ll be more powerful et cae tera. I’m sorry to say this, but I can’t believe what I haven’t seen; especially when it’s about Microsoft…
But, more recently, today to be more precise, I saw that Kumo could be renamed Bing. Kumo was apparently only a code-name. So sources near Microsoft reported to PCWorld that there’s going to be a massive ad campaign to show people why Bing was better than Google. Really ? I may be very sceptical but I think I’m realistic. So wait & see folks.
WolframAlpha
WA is a very good search engine, in its domain. A “computational” knowledge engine. The concept is absolutly brilliant. You ask a question, literally; why is the sky blue ? How many roads must a man walk down ? It has very precise answers.
That’s it. What ? I haven’t answered to the original question ?

Everybody trusts Google, it may be as simple as that.
I called a friend yesterday, we were talking about some history, I can’t accurately remember but I think it was all about Napoleonic stuff. “When did Napoleon Bonaparte die ?” WolframAlpha result & Google’s. See the difference; now ? WolframAlpha knows it because it learned it. The primary, original source for this answer was Encyclopedia Britannica. Google uses other websites, without learning to find an answer. Logically, WolframAlpha is more accurate. But if you type “Facebook” in WA, it’ll give you more informations than simply the link to the website. And yet, nobody is used to that. Google is more effective for day to day tasks but I’d say, now, less professionnal and accurate than WA.
Now, you can juggle from this website to that website but it’d be, you know, useless.
Well. It colorates your shower depending on how hot is the water. These are leds and guess what ? They’re using the water pressure to power up. Brilliant, no ?
Well, first, remember that WWDC stands for WorldWide Developers Conference. Another important thing to remember is that WWDC is scheduled to occur between june 8th and 12th. Last thing, Steve Jobs isn’t presenting the new products, Schiller, Paul Schiller will present them; Steve Jobs’s come-back will occur in the end of june. But, guess what. According to Gene Munster, a Piper Jaffray tech analyst, there won’t be an introduction of a new iPhone during the WWDC.
While some investors may be expecting Apple to launch redesigned iPhones at WWDC, we do not anticipate the launch in early June. Rather, we expect Apple to host a special event in late June or early July to launch a family of iPhones. We continue to expect multiple models, possibly a high-end iPhone with improved specs from the current version and a low-end version with lower capacity and fewer features along with a reduced pricing plan. Such a model could also be used in Apple’s launch of the iPhone into China as soon as the end of summer ‘09. [Source]
So, what’ll happen ? I’ll say that Schiller will give us the precise date of Snow Leopard’s release and he’ll talk more about the iPhone 3.0 OS. But, Mr. Munster, I have something to say. Is it in Apple’s customs to release different models of the same product ? I mean, yes, of course, for Macs and iPods, but for iPhones ? Actually, there are two different answers.
- No, Apple would never do that.
- Yes, Apple will release different models of iPhones to challenge big brands such as Nokia in emerging countries and they’ll rule the world with the iPhone.
Finally, the iPhone 3 (not the OS, the hardware) is very unlikely to appear during the WWDC but wait, there’s gonna be some good stuff. Anyway, if you want more rumors about the Apple, follow this link.

Everybody’s waiting for the new iPhone. At least, I’m waiting.
A chinese site says that the new iPhone could have several new core implementations such as :
- 3,2 megapixel camera, auto-focus
- 16 GB and 32 GB configurations, no more 8 GB; apparently
- The processor will jump from 400 Mhz to 600 Mhz, so it’ll be significantly faster
- The RAM will also be upgraded and it’ll double, passing from 128 Mb to 256 Mb
Anyway, I think this is completly possible. And if the camera will really be a 3,2 megapixel one, there are chances that video recording appears.

It has been a very long time since I didn’t write any analysis or whatever but I thought I needed to focus a bit. In that way, I’d feel more useful to society; or not. Plus, I’m a complete West Wing addict, now.
Well, rumors are saying that, right now, three main things are happening:
- preparation of the new iPhone (both hardware and software)
- preparation for Snow Leopard
- probable iTablet
But you know what ? I hope they’re preparing the return of iJesus; Steve Jobs. Because I think that whether he comes back or not, changes will be made to the announcements of new products. If he comes back, healthy and fine, he could present in a special Keynote for his return a revolutionary product such as the iTablet. That’ll show the public he’s really back. Otherwise, if you’re looking towards the iPhone, you’ll probably want to wait until WWDC occurs. It works for Snow Leopard too.
If he doesn’t come back, I’ll be here to watch a giant mayhem. If he doesn’t come back, I’ll probably want to quit blogging.
